The 268-seat Walter Reade Theater is home to The Film Society of Lincoln Center, which was founded in 1969. Each year, The Film Society presents the New York Film Festival. In addition, year-round programming is eclectic and international, spanning all genres and countries. The Film Society also publishes Film Comment magazine.
