From the looks of Planet Rose's exterior, you'd think karaoke had recently been outlawed, causing Japanese sing-along speakeasies to spring up all over the city. You can't see through the bar's frosted windows into its womb-like interior. Graceland's Jungle Room has nothing on Planet Rose's studiously tacky aesthetic: deep rose walls, leopard-print carpet, zebra-stripe couches.
