Profile

This venue is closed.

Sure, you can slurp oysters at the patio bar abutting Gravy diner, but don't start having visions of the Central Park Boathouse: The vintage signs, hanging rusty bicycle, fishing rods, and battered buoys on display are more reminiscent of a junkyard on the Mississippi. Picket fences, potted daisies and walls of corrugated steel separate the rustic, elemental space from Pacifico's garden next door. At the wood-plank shed of a bar in back, a spinning wheel decides between specials like cheap frozen drinks and Jäger shots. If you're not the gambling type, you can down pint glasses of novelty cocktails like the Brooklyn Ice Tea, a sweet-and-tart blend of Jameson and honey. Pulled pork sandwiches, a not-quite-Cajun shrimp and cheese fries coated in sour cream, jalapeños, and chili stick to the BBQ-picnic shtick. And there's also one amenity that you'd never find at the Central Park Boathouse: ashtrays.

Extra

The entrance is located on Pacific Street, beneath the carved wooden trout hanging overhead.
