Review
Azazel Jacobs’s minimalist tale about a Los Angeles man who finds himself unable and unwilling to leave his parents’ Tribeca loft and fly back to his own family could have easily made for high-concept comedy. Instead, it melds a poignant drama of adulthood with a surreal portrait of emotional paralysis, with an unexpected paean to the American avant-garde thrown in.
