The first mainstream comedy featuring a Renaissance-fair competition and a potty-mouthed 12-year-old pervert, this goofy film from David Wain smartly downplays the adults (Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott as man-child losers) and focuses on the gawky Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad’s McLovin), still a weirdly magnetic stew of bluster and horny insecurity.
