Yankee Stadium
River Ave. at 161st St., Bronx; 718-293-4300
Whether or not you consider the current, post-seventies stadium to be the same one Babe Ruth christened with a home run on opening day in 1923, there’s no denying that the southwest corner of 161st and River Avenue has seen some of baseball’s finest moments.

Shea Stadium
123-01 Roosevelt Ave., Flushing; 718-507-6387

Concerts at McCarren Park Pool
Bedford Ave. at N. 12th St., Williamsburg, Brooklyn
With plans in the works to renovate the WPA-era pool back into, well, an actual pool, this summer will likely be the last for the concerts it’s hosted since 2006. But fear not, indie rockers! A new riverfront venue is being considered and could be ready in time for summer, 2009.
